Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 1½ lbs (about 700g) boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into strips or chunks
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
For the Batter:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch (for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup cold water or club soda (adjust as needed for a thick pancake-like batter)
For Frying:
- Vegetable oil (enough for shallow or deep frying)
