1 can (15 oz) of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed (or 1 ½ cups cooked chickpeas)
¼ cup tahini (sesame paste)
2 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for garnish)
2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1-2 garlic cloves (minced)
½ tsp ground cumin
Salt, to taste (about ½ tsp)
3-4 tbsp water (or as needed for desired consistency)
Paprika (for garnish)
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
