Creamy Hummus Recipe

Prepare the Chickpeas:

If you’re using canned chickpeas, drain and rinse them under cold water.

For extra smooth hummus, you can peel the skins off the chickpeas (this is optional but can make the hummus creamier).

Blend the Ingredients:

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt.

Blend until the mixture starts to come together. You might need to scrape down the sides once or twice.

Add Water:

Gradually add 3 tablespoons of water and blend until the hummus reaches a creamy and smooth texture. If it’s too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until it’s the desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust:

Taste your hummus and adjust the seasoning. You can add more lemon juice, garlic, cumin, or salt if needed.

Serve:

Transfer the hummus to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika and fresh parsley, if desired.

Enjoy:
Serve your hummus with pita bread, veggie sticks (like carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers), or even on sandwiches and wraps!

Feel free to customize it by adding roasted red peppers, olives, or a bit of spice like cayenne pepper
