2 litres vegetable stock (preferably homemade, without salt)
1 can diced tomatoes (or 3 fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped)
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon ginger (fresh or powdered)
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 teaspoon dried oregano or thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
