Steps to Make Stuffed Cabbage Meatloaf with Cheese and Bacon
Step 1: Prepare the Meat Mixture
In a large bowl, combine minced meat, finely chopped onion, mustard, ground coriander, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
Add the grated cabbage and chopped parsley to the mixture.
Soak the bread in milk for 5 minutes, then squeeze out the excess milk and crumble the bread into the meat mixture.
Add the egg and mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
Step 2: Assemble the Meatloaf
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
On a clean surface, lay out the slices of bacon, slightly overlapping them.
Spread half of the meat mixture over the bacon, forming a rectangle.
Layer the cheese in the center, leaving some space at the edges.
Cover the cheese with the remaining meat mixture, shaping it into a loaf.
Carefully wrap the bacon slices over the meatloaf, tucking the ends underneath.
Step 3: Add the Glaze
Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the bacon-wrapped meatloaf for a glossy, flavorful finish.
Step 4: Bake
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
Let it rest for 10 minutes after baking to retain its juices.
Step 5: Make the Lemon-Garlic Mayonnaise
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with minced garlic, chopped parsley, and the juice of one lemon.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve the sauce on the side as a dip or drizzle it over the sliced meatloaf.
Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Slice the meatloaf into thick portions and garnish with fresh parsley.
Pair it with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
