Ingredients

- 300 g (10.5 oz) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, for frying
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) water
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Herbed Toast:
- 3 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, for brushing
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
- Salt, to taste
Directions
Prepare the Broccoli:
- Cut the broccoli into florets and rinse thoroughly.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil, add a pinch of salt, and blanch the broccoli for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Mushrooms:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Increase the heat slightly and add the sliced mushrooms. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender.
