  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, Ninho powdered milk, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy using a hand mixer or stand mixer.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine with dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Ninho Milk Frosting:

  1. Mix powdered milk and sugar: In a medium bowl, combine the Ninho powdered milk and sugar (if using).
  2. Heat cream: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat until the butter melts and the mixture is warm, but not boiling.
  3. Combine: Gradually whisk the warm cream into the powdered milk mixture. Stir until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Chill: Let the frosting cool to room temperature or chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes to thicken.

For the Strawberry Layer:

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Slice the fresh strawberries and toss them with 2 tablespoons of sugar (optional) to draw out their juices.
  2. Layer on the cake: Once the cake is cooled, slice it in half horizontally to create two layers. Spread a layer of frosting on the bottom half of the cake. Arrange the sugared strawberries on top of the frosting.
  3. Assemble: Place the second layer of cake on top and frost the top and sides with the Ninho milk frosting.

Serve:

  • Top the cake with additional fresh strawberries for decoration. You can drizzle a little bit of strawberry syrup or fresh juice from the strawberries over the top for extra flavor.

This cake is indulgently creamy and perfectly balances the sweetness of the Ninho milk with the freshness of strawberries. Enjoy your Ninho Milk Cake with Strawberries!
