Ingredients:
For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- 1 lb sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp dried thyme (or fresh thyme)
- ½ tsp dried rosemary (or fresh rosemary)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Garlic Butter Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Steak Bites:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak bites from the pan and set them aside.
- In the same skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary, and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley.
2. Cook the Shrimp:
- In another skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
3. Serve:
- Serve the garlic butter steak bites and shrimp on a platter or individual plates. Pair them with your favorite sides, like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
Tips:
- Steak Options: You can use ribeye, filet mignon, or New York strip steak for more tender cuts of meat, but sirloin works well for a budget-friendly option.
- Shrimp Options: For extra flavor, you can add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the shrimp before serving.
- Make It a Full Meal: Serve with sides like garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, or a fresh green salad to complete your feast.
