- 1/4 cup (30g) cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Whipped Cream Filling:
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream, chilled
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherries (fresh, canned, or frozen; if using canned, drain well)
- 2 tbsp cherry juice or cherry liqueur (optional)
For the Garnish:
- Chocolate shavings
- Whole cherries (optional)
- Whipped cream (optional)
