Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge is the perfect recipe when you want something rich, creamy, and indulgent in no time! With just a few ingredients and minimal effort, this fudge is ready in a flash. Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 (12 oz) package semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pan:
- Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. This will help you easily remove the fudge once it’s set.
2. Melt the Ingredients:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
3. Flavor and Mix:
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If you’re adding nuts, stir them in at this point.
4. Set the Fudge:
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 1 hour, then refrigerate for an additional 2-3 hours to fully set.
5. Slice and Serve:
- Once the fudge is firm and set, cut it into small squares and serve!
Tips:
- For a twist: Add a swirl of peanut butter, caramel, or marshmallow fluff for added flavor.
- Storage: Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the fridge for longer shelf life.
This fudge is creamy, chocolatey, and so easy to make—perfect for last-minute treats or gift-giving! Would you like other variations, or perhaps a different type of fudge?
