This festive treat is perfect for the holidays! Itβs rich, creamy, and packed with the delightful sweetness of maraschino cherries and white chocolate.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups (450g) white chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz/400g) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (80g) maraschino cherries, drained, dried, and chopped
- 1/4 cup (40g) chopped nuts (optional, like pecans or almonds)
- Red or green sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
1. Prep the Cherries:
- Drain the maraschino cherries thoroughly, then pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Chop into small pieces and set aside.
2. Melt the Chocolate:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
3. Add Flavor and Cherries:
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Gently fold in the chopped cherries and nuts (if using).
4. Set the Fudge:
- Pour the mixture into an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) pan lined with parchment paper, smoothing the top with a spatula. Add sprinkles if desired for extra holiday cheer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
5. Cut and Serve:
- Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
