Ingredients:

- ½ cup orange juice or brandy (for soaking)
For the Cake Batter:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon dark rum (optional, for extra flavor)
Dry Ingredients:
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
