Place a few fresh elderberry or tomato branches around the house. Their distinctive scent will deter mosquitoes, causing them to seek shelter elsewhere. A natural and effective home remedy.

Sugar and baker’s yeast
To make this homemade trap, start by cutting a plastic bottle in half. Pour 200 ml of lukewarm water into the bottom part, add 50 g of brown (or regular) sugar and mix well. Let it cool slightly, then add a teaspoon of dry baker’s yeast without stirring . Then turn the top of the bottle upside down like a funnel, tape the two parts together and wrap everything with a dark cloth. Place the trap in a quiet corner, sheltered from the wind. The sugar attracts mosquitoes, the yeast produces carbon dioxide which traps them. Change the solution every 15 days for optimal effectiveness. This small natural system limits intrusions without chemicals, for a more peaceful summer at home!
