 Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat to 400°F (200°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Apples:
    • In a bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar. Set aside.
  3. Prepare Puff Pastry:
    • Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut into 6 rectangles or squares.
    • Score a small border (about 1/4 inch) around the edge of each piece using a knife (don’t cut all the way through).
    • Prick the centers with a fork to keep them from puffing too much.
  4. Assemble Tarts:
    • Arrange apple slices in overlapping rows inside the scored border.
    • Brush melted butter over the apples and edges of the pastry.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
  6. Glaze (Optional):
    • Warm a spoonful of honey or apricot jam and brush over the apples for a glossy finish.
  7. Serve:
    • Enjoy warm or at room temperature, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
