Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Apples:
- In a bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar. Set aside.
- Prepare Puff Pastry:
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut into 6 rectangles or squares.
- Score a small border (about 1/4 inch) around the edge of each piece using a knife (don’t cut all the way through).
- Prick the centers with a fork to keep them from puffing too much.
- Assemble Tarts:
- Arrange apple slices in overlapping rows inside the scored border.
- Brush melted butter over the apples and edges of the pastry.
- Bake:
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
- Glaze (Optional):
- Warm a spoonful of honey or apricot jam and brush over the apples for a glossy finish.
- Serve:
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
