Ingredients

For the Cake:
– 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
– 2 ½ tsp baking powder
– ½ tsp salt
– ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
– 4 large eggs, room temperature
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– ½ cup whole milk, room temperature
– ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
– 1 ½ cups fresh raspberries (or thawed frozen raspberries)

For the Raspberry Filling (Optional):
– 1 ½ cups fresh raspberries
– ½ cup granulated sugar
– 1 tbsp cornstarch
– 2 tbsp water

For the Frosting:
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
– 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– ½ cup raspberry puree (made from fresh or frozen raspberries)

For Garnish (Optional):
– Fresh raspberries
– White chocolate shavings
– Mint leaves
