Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Chicken Thighs:
    • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to help the seasoning stick and to achieve crispy skin.
    • Rub the thighs with olive oil.
  3. Season:
    • In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
    • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs.
  4. Cook in the Air Fryer:
    • Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side up.
    • Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Optional: Crispy Finish
    If the skin isn’t crispy enough, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve:
    Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
