- Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. - Prepare the Chicken Thighs:
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to help the seasoning stick and to achieve crispy skin.
- Rub the thighs with olive oil.
- Season:
- In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs.
- Cook in the Air Fryer:
- Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side up.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Optional: Crispy Finish
If the skin isn’t crispy enough, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for an additional 2-3 minutes. - Serve:
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
