Crispy Garlic Mushroom Bites

Prep mushrooms: If mushrooms are large, halve or quarter them for bite-sized pieces. Pat dry with a paper towel — moisture is the enemy of crisp.

Make the coating station:

Bowl 1: flour seasoned with salt & pepper

Bowl 2: beaten eggs

Bowl 3: breadcrumbs mixed with garlic, herbs, and Parmesan

Coat mushrooms:
Toss each mushroom in flour → dip in egg → coat in breadcrumb mixture. Press lightly to make sure the crumbs stick.

Choose your method:
🔥 To Fry (extra crispy):

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Fry mushrooms in batches until golden brown (2–3 min per side).

Drain on paper towels.

🌱 To Bake (lighter version):

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Arrange mushrooms on a baking tray lined with parchment.

Lightly spray with oil.

Bake 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Optional: Garnish with chopped parsley, an extra dusting of Parmesan, or even a squeeze of lemon for brightness.

Dipping Sauce Ideas:
Garlic aioli

Spicy sriracha mayo

Ranch or blue cheese dip

Honey mustard or sweet chili sauce

Want to make it vegan or gluten-free? I can tweak the recipe for that too. Let me know what you’re feeling! 😄
