In the first case, remove the shower head connected to the hose. You will see a small rubber disc, set it aside during cleaning so as not to lose it. This element is very important, it guarantees the seal between the shower head and the hose. Place the head in a bucket or bowl and cover half with white vinegar and the other half with hot water. If possible, let it sit for an hour (no more than 30 minutes if the knob is brass, otherwise it could be irreparably damaged). Remove the shower head and rinse it with clean water. If there is still limescale, rub it lightly with a toothbrush; it should come off very easily. Dry the knob with a microfiber cloth and reassemble it on the tube, without forgetting the rubber disc.

If the showerhead is wall-mounted, you don’t need to disassemble it. There’s a simple solution to descaling it with white vinegar. Find a plastic bag large enough to hold the knob. Fill the plastic bag halfway with white vinegar. Place the bag around the knob so it’s well absorbed by the vinegar. Secure the bag with rubber bands. Let the product sit for 30 minutes to an hour and rinse before wiping with a dry cloth.
