Preparation – step by step to perfection
1. Prepare the burger patties

First, place the minced meat in a bowl and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper. Mix everything well so that the flavors are evenly distributed. Then divide the meat into four equal portions and form into flat burger patties. The patties should have a diameter of around 10 cm so that they fit easily into the wrappers later.

2. Fry the patties

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once the pan is hot, add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until well cooked. They should have a nice brown crust but still be juicy on the inside. Remove the finished patties from the pan and set aside.

3. Prepare the mac ‘n’ cheese

While the meat is roasting, prepare the mac ‘n’ cheese according to your preferred recipe. It should be particularly creamy so that it combines well with the other ingredients. If you use ready-made mac ‘n’ cheese, simply warm it briefly so that it becomes smooth.

4. Assemble the wraps

Now comes the best part: filling the wraps! Place a large tortilla on a clean work surface and spread a layer of mac ‘n’ cheese in the middle. Place a fried burger patty on top, followed by the crumbled bacon pieces. Finally, sprinkle a generous amount of grated cheddar cheese on top.

5. Roll the wraps

Fold in the sides of the tortilla slightly and then roll up tightly from bottom to top so that all the ingredients are well enclosed. If necessary, secure the ends with a toothpick.

6. Fry the wraps

Heat a pan over medium heat and melt the butter. Place the wraps seam side down in the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until they have a crispy, golden brown crust.

7. Serve and enjoy

Allow the finished wraps to cool slightly, then cut them diagonally in the middle. Serve them immediately – ideally with a delicious BBQ sauce or ranch dressing for dipping!
