Potato Lasagna with Bechamel Sauce

This dish combines the smooth texture of mashed potatoes with the traditional layers of lasagna, enriched with creamy béchamel sauce and cheese. A comforting and delicious variation of classic lasagna.

 Ingredients:

For the Lasagna:

1 ¼ lbs potatoes (600 g) 
Salt to taste 
1 box pre-cooked lasagna noodles (about 1 lb or 500 g) 
7 oz sliced ham (200 g) 
7 oz mozzarella cheese (200 g) 
2 oz grated Parmesan cheese (50 g) 
For the Bechamel Sauce:

3 tbsp unsalted butter 
4 tbsp all-purpose flour 
6 cups milk (1.5 liters) 
1 small can of heavy cream (about 7 oz or 200 ml) 
Salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste
