Stuck Zipper: How to Fix It Without Throwing Out Your Clothes

Did you know that the solution is often found in your pencil case?  A simple pencil can work miracles!

How to proceed?

  1. Take a  soft pencil  (HB or 2B type).
  2. Rub the lead  directly onto the zipper teeth, focusing on the stuck area.
  3. Try moving the slider  gently back and forth to distribute the graphite powder, which acts as a dry lubricant.
  4. Repeat  if necessary, until the zipper releases.

Why does it work?

The  graphite in the pencil lead reduces friction  and allows the cursor to slide more easily. This technique is  ideal because it  does not stain  and even works on light-colored clothing.
