Ingredients:
- 3 potatoes
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 carrot, grated
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- 100 grams of cheese, grated
- A bunch of spring onions, chopped
- 1 egg
- Salt, to taste
- 3 tablespoons flour
- Sunflower oil (for frying)
Directions:
- Peel the potatoes and grate them using a grater.
- Squeeze out any excess moisture from the grated potatoes using a clean cloth or paper towel.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, sliced onion, grated carrot, minced garlic, grated cheese, chopped spring onions, egg, salt, and flour. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Take a portion of the potato mixture and shape it into a patty or round shape.
- Carefully place the potato patty into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Repeat this process with the remaining potato mixture, frying a few patties at a time to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Once the potato patties are cooked and golden brown, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve the crispy potato and onion patties hot, garnished with additional chopped spring onions if desired.
