Gently fold the egg whites into the batter using a spatula.
Divide the dough into two parts: in one of them, add the cocoa powder and mix well.
In a greased and floured pan, pour a layer of white dough, followed by the cocoa dough and finish with the rest of the white dough.
Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
HOW TO TRANSFORM A NORMAL RECIPE INTO A HEALTHY AND NUTRITIONAL RECIPE?
Turning a regular recipe into a healthy recipe may seem like a challenge, but there are some simple substitutions you can make to make your recipes healthier and more nutritious.
One of the first things you can do is replace white flour with whole wheat flour or oat flour. These flours have more fiber and nutrients than white flour, which means they are healthier and provide more satiety.
If the recipe calls for whole milk, you can substitute skim milk or almond milk. Whole milk has more fat and calories than skimmed milk and almond milk is a lactose-free option for those who have an intolerance.
