Maamoul with Dates – A Buttery Delight for Every Occasion

Ingredients
For the Dough:
3 cups fine semolina
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup milk (or as needed)
1 tbsp orange blossom water (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
For the Filling:
2 cups pitted dates
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp orange blossom water (optional)
For Garnish:
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

1. Prepare the Date Filling:
In a saucepan over low heat, combine the pitted dates, butter, cinnamon, and orange blossom water.
Cook while stirring until the dates soften and form a smooth paste. Remove from heat and let it cool.
