Step 4: Spray with Vinegar
Spray the entire surface with white vinegar. This natural cleaner cuts through grease and helps loosen any light stains. Let the vinegar sit for 1–2 minutes before proceeding.
Step 5: Address Tough Stains
For burned-on residue or tough stains, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the problem areas. Baking soda is mildly abrasive and excellent for lifting grime without scratching the glass.
Step 6: Add a Damp Towel
Soak a clean towel in hot water, wring it out, and place it over the baking soda-covered areas. Let it sit for 15 minutes. The heat and moisture will help loosen stubborn residue.
Step 7: Scrub Gently
After removing the towel, use a non-abrasive scrubber or the damp towel itself to gently scrub the stove top in circular motions. Be patient and avoid pressing too hard, which could cause scratches.
Step 8: Use a Razor Blade Scraper (Optional)
For extremely tough spots, carefully use a razor blade scraper designed for glass stove tops. Hold the blade at a 45-degree angle and gently scrape away the residue. Always work in a single direction and avoid using too much pressure.
